New York City Skyline Coloring Page
Ways to Use This Coloring Page
Simple ideas for using this printable at home, school, libraries, or quiet creative time.
Manhattan’s towers crowd together above a suspension bridge, with the Statue of Liberty standing small at the water’s edge. Seeing them together shows just how much taller the buildings are than a statue most people picture as enormous.
Cut building shapes from folded paper and glue them onto a strip in overlapping rows. Put the shortest at the back and the tallest at the front so the city looks deep rather than flat.
Grounded in Harvard's serve and return research
- Find the Statue of Liberty. Is she bigger or smaller than you expected beside the buildings?
- Which building reaches highest, and what is on top of it?
- What tells you this city is built next to water?
- Why do skylines look so different from one city to the next?
- What would you add to a New York scene of your own?
