Mandir Coloring Page
Ways to Use This Coloring Page
Simple ideas for using this printable at home, school, libraries, or quiet creative time.
A mandir stands beneath an arcing rainbow, its tall central spire flanked by smaller domed shrines and a wide flight of steps. A mandir is a Hindu temple, and the central tower is built directly above the main shrine so that the highest point marks the most important space inside.
Fold a sheet of paper in half, cut a tower shape through both layers against the fold, and open it into a perfectly matched building. Add windows on one side and copy them exactly onto the other.
Grounded in Harvard's serve and return research
- Find the tallest part of the building. What do you think is underneath it?
- What shapes repeat across the front of the mandir?
- Why might a building be made the same on both sides?
- What do the steps tell you about how people arrive here?
- How do you think it feels to stand inside a quiet place like this?
