About
Hi, I’m Kirtan — a dad, a teacher, a school leader, and a Harvard Graduate School of Education alum. But this site didn’t start with any of that. It started because my wife Roma and I have two young boys who love to color, and finding a good printable online always seemed harder than it should be. Too many ads, too many clicks, never quite the right thing.
So I started making my own. A dinosaur, a fire truck, a mermaid, a monster. Every new page became a small moment of joy in our house.
But here’s where my background kicked in. As an educator, I know that some of the most powerful learning happens in conversation — not in worksheets or flashcards, but in the back-and-forth between a parent and child. Research from Harvard, MIT, and the University of Pennsylvania shows that conversational turns, the simple act of asking and answering questions together, are one of the strongest predictors of a child’s language development and brain growth.
So I added a “Talk About It” section to every page. Questions drawn from Bloom’s Taxonomy, the same research-backed framework educators use to build critical thinking, are designed to turn a quiet coloring moment into a real conversation. What do you notice? What do you think happens next? What would you do?
These pages are still made for my boys. Now they’re made for yours too.
