Pteranodon Dinosaur Coloring Page
Ways to Use This Coloring Page
Simple ideas for using this printable at home, school, libraries, or quiet creative time.
A cheerful pteranodon soars above a volcano and two palm trees with its wings spread wide. Pteranodon was a flying reptile called a pterosaur rather than a true dinosaur, and the big open wing shapes make this one of the easiest pages in the set.
Pretend your arms are giant wings and trace a slow flying path from one side of the room to the other. After coloring, use your finger to draw a line in the air showing where this pteranodon started and where it might land.
Grounded in Harvard's serve and return research
- What body parts help this animal fly?
- Pteranodon was a flying reptile, not a dinosaur, so what other flying animals can you name?
- Where do you think it is heading next?
