Pteranodon Dinosaur Cliff Coloring Page
Ways to Use This Coloring Page
Simple ideas for using this printable at home, school, libraries, or quiet creative time.
A winged pteranodon sweeps over rocky cliffs with water far below. Pteranodon was not actually a dinosaur, it was a flying reptile called a pterosaur that lived at the same time, and the outstretched wings here show how it stayed aloft.
Spread your arms wide and glide around the room like a pteranodon riding wind above the cliffs. Then place a sheet of paper in front of you and blow across it gently to feel how air can lift and move something lightweight.
Grounded in Harvard's serve and return research
- What clues show that this pteranodon is high above the ground?
- Pteranodon was a flying reptile rather than a dinosaur, so what other flying animals do you know?
- If the wind changed direction, how might it move its wings?
